Removing EMG interference from a EEG trace

Post by HazzyG » Mon Feb 12, 2018 9:35 am

I am currently analysing data involving the simultaneous recording of EEG and EMG traces in two separate channels. Channel 1 is EEG, channel 2 is EMG. I am interested in the EEG data, however there is a lot of EMG interference in the channel. Is there anyway of removing activity in the EEG that corresponds with EMG activity? i.e removing EMG interference?

Hi Harriet
I hope you received my emails via the other way you contacted us? You should be able to use a digital filter within the software to remove any unwanted "electrical" noise of data of specific frequencies which aren't needed. I will follow up with you via email.
Regards
Kevin
