Video Capture with QImaging Camera

Postby Jamie_MacLeod » Tue Jan 10, 2017 5:01 pm

Hi,

I've been attempting to carry out video capture using LabChart8 but the program seems unable to discover my QImaging R1 Retiga camera, connected to my computer via USB.

The program is able to discover a logitech webcam via USB so I was wondering if my camera is compatible with this software?

Any advice would be appreciated, here is a link to information about the camera https://www.qimaging.com/products/camer ... iga-r1.php

Thanks!
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

For a camera to be used with Video Capture, its software drivers must support Microsoft's DirectShow media streaming architecture. Thank you for the link, I took a look into the specifications of your camera and could not find that it supports DirectShow.

If you have any other questions please let me know!

Cheers,
Amy
